Searching for Sidekicks!
Jesus is our hero and at the helm of our lives- we're just his trusty sidekicks!
The SIDEKICKS Club is a PRE-TEEN discipleship & outreach program for kids aged 8-12 who want to be more intentional with their Christian walk.
The Club will focus on age-appropriate, generation-specific opportunities to share the good news about Jesus to the church & community.
The club will meet on Tuesdays and starts on 3rd September 2024 at CBC from 4pm - 6pm.
The Sidekicks Club mission:
- To grow our faith and learn how to worship God deeper in spirit & in truth
- To share the gospel of Jesus Christ through fun, creative projects
- To fellowship with other like-minded kids and use our gifts together for God's glory
Registered kids will be asked to provide a one-time contribution of $15 for their Club T-Shirt.
The Club T-Shirt will be used as a "uniform" for outreach activities within & external to CBC.
Join the fun as we play games, learn the bible, create podcast episodes, produce YouTube tutorials for Sunday School ministries, learn & utilize graphic design skills to create outreach gifts and even rehearse theatre & dance ideas for in-service ministry.
Club Activities
Some of the activities on rotation will include recording content for our CBC KIDS YouTube Channel (NB Kids channels are heavily regulated & comments are turned off as a default protective layer).
The Sidekicks will be discussing God's advice versus worldly advice on our YouTube podcast, "The Word vs The World". They will also be creating bible scripture devotionals + lesson support using science experiments, for the YouTube channel, that can be accessed by other kid ministries & Sunday School teachers around the world (The Faith Lab Series).
Club members will also be cast & guided through rehearsals of the classic "Psalty the Singing Songbook" kids praise songs & skits - with the hope of sharing the songs & messages with others. Kids who prefer "background" roles can help with the set-production.
And lastly, the Sidekicks will be crafting & creating special care & prayer packages that we will distribute every month. With parental chaperones, we will alternate distribution & prayer to taxi drivers parked outside Coronado Mall and to truck & transport drivers who stop at Va & Ven during their long hauls (Jesus, Toma El Volante).
